(the technological cosmetic pole)

The Technological Cosmetic Pole was founded in 2005 after an analysis of the companies that belonged to this field in the area of Cremona and those concentrated around the city of Crema.  There are in fact 92 companies of cosmetics manufacturing chain here, with 2350 employees. Sixty percent of the Italian cosmetic production comes from Regione Lombardia. In this Region 51% of the people involved in cosmetics production work in Crema area.
Thanks to the support of Reindustria, a local development agency, an intense collaboration was created among the parts involved, public and private.  This lead to a consolidation of activities and relationships in the sector and has helped to lend stability to the cosmetics field. As of today 120 companies in Regione Lombardia belong to the Technological Cosmetic Pole.

The Technological Cosmetic Pole is the first example in Italy of cosmetics companies that not only unite strength but also those of other related groups. These include the production of cosmetics, of machineries and plants production, of design and production of primary and secondary packaging and services.
This combination of cooperation and competition between companies, added to the efficient production and well-known qualities of the Made in Italy creativity would benefit all. In this filed Lombardy Region has gained international recognition for its state of the art qualities. The project of Pole permits the companies to remain autonomous while at the same time allow them to reach common goals which could not be possible to reach alone.
